Autonomous driving has been a hot topic for quite some time as part of the future of the automotive industry, however, we’re zooming into the future sooner than we think. Here at KEMET, we’re staying ahead of the curve, introducing additions to our current product lines that will keep vehicles on the road longer. We’ve taken our T-598 automotive grade polymer electrolytic capacitor series to the next level, expanding its lifetime to 2,000 HOURS over the current 1,000-hour requirement. These new mission profiles will allow for more stable performance at temperatures of 125°C. Our new devices not only exhibit extremely stable ESR under harsh conditions, such as those put upon by autonomous vehicles, but they also offer additional robustness where polymer capacitors were previously vulnerable.
