Eric Bogatin tells us about the Seven Habits for PCB Designers, Open Source Designs, the importance of learning, mentorship and purposefully developing your skills. Eric Bogatin is the Dean of the Teledyne LeCroy Signal Integrity Academy at beTheSignal.com. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in the Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering department. Eric received his BS in physics from MIT and Master’s and Doctoral degrees in physics from the University of Arizona in Tucson, and has held senior engineering and management positions at Bell Labs, Raychem, Sun Microsystems, Ansoft and Interconnect Devices. He has written some of the most successful technical books on signal and power integrity, and is one of our industry’s most influential teachers on signal integrity worldwide. Eric and his wife Susan founded Bogatin Enterprises in 1990, which was acquired by Teledyne LeCroy in 2011. Since concluding his live public classes in 2013, he has devoted his efforts into creating the Signal Integrity Academy, a web portal offering all his classes and training content online.
