Jailhouse Linux hypervisor on Variscite VAR SOM MX8M NANO

Variscite
Jailhouse is a partitioning hypervisor based on Linux. It is able to run bare-metal applications or (adapted) operating systems in addition to a standard Linux kernel on one multicore hardware platform. Jailhouse ensures isolation between these "cells" via hardware-assisted virtualization. The typical workloads expected to be seen in non-Linux cells are applications with highly demanding real-time, safety or security requirements. In contrast to comparable hypervisors, Jailhouse is loaded and configured via Linux, not the other way around. So you boot Linux first, then you enable Jailhouse and finally you split off parts of the system's resources and assign them to additional cells. This video demonstrates starting a Linux based Jailhouse inmate using a filesystem installed on an SD card.
