Murata’s sound components (buzzers) utilize the natural vibration of piezoelectric ceramics.
Used in a wide range of applications from consumer devices, such as home appliances, and consumer products such as automobiles, industrial devices, and small mobile terminals. Can be used not only as a device for sound confirmation, but also as melody and voice speakers.

Piezoelectric Sounder
A piezoelectric diaphragm is incorporated in a plastic case (resonator). The diaphragm vibrates and produces sound due to an external signal.

Piezoelectric Diaphragm
The Piezoelectric element is bonded to a metal plate.
Below are 2 examples of types of usage. The shape of the electrode will differ accordingly.
- External drive type (vibrates and makes sound via external signal)
→ Full electrode - Self-drive type (when a certain voltage is applied, it vibrates and makes a sound)
→ Divided electrode (with feedback electrode)
